At Furnace Brook Wesleyan Church, we are blessed to hear the word from our Senior Pastor Joel Tate. His heart for our community is to make More and Better Disciples for Christ.
A father of 4, Joel balances his ministry while providing a biblical example to his family and community.
A graduate of Houghton College, Pastor Tate enjoyed a career as a Resident-Director at three different Christian colleges before going into the ministry.
Furnace Brook Wesleyan is his first and only pastorate.
His interests include writing, gardening, homesteading and knitting.

Abbey is a passionate disciple of Jesus, with a heart to grow others in relationship with him.
Abbey and her husband, Cody, live in Rutland. Abbey has been working closely with the Church as visual coordinator, and advocate for over 10 years.
Her interests include being active, inspiring people to make healthful eating choices, and being anywhere there is coffee and good fellowship.

Karen and her husband Tom have been members of the church for several years, during which time they have thrown themselves into the life and ministry of the church. Karen assists Joel with administrative work in the office and coordinates volunteer efforts.
